I am so excited to get this year started. I look forward to connecting, building relationships, and helping students meet their amazing potential.
A little about me: this is my 15th year teaching and my 14th year at Valley Park. I've taught kindergarten and third grade, and this is my 9th year in second grade! Before teaching I was a live-in nanny for a year in NYC and an HR manager for a small company in St. Louis. I attended Missouri State University in Springfield, and graduated from Webster University with a degree in Early Childhood Education. I also have 2 Master’s degrees – one in Multidisciplinary Studies in Elementary Education, and one in Reading. I love working with children and am thrilled to be a VP Hawk!
Outside of school, I stay busy with my husband, Jason, our son, Remington (Remy), and our daughter, Annalyse. Remy is 11 and in 6th grade (at Lindbergh). Annalyse will be 4 in November, and she attends preschool here at VP. This summer we spent a lot of time playing in our backyard, going on walks, hiking, and swimming. We traveled to visit with family on the Oregon coast, in Gulf Shores, and in southeast MO. I love reading, baking, watching Remy play soccer, and exploring with Annalyse as she discovers our big world. I look forward to a great year with students!
